The needle didn't hurt at all as it went in, but ... well, it didn't *really* Go In. Rather, it only went in partially, and I began bleeding like a fountain. *I swear to God that I have never seen anything like it except in a movie.* It was a spray probably 4 inches high, and uninterrupted -- no rhythmic arcs of red here, just a constant arc...

Anyway, to sum it up, it hurts like a tiny bitch now and it bled intensely for a 30-second or so period. That doesn't have the same cadence as "it hurt like a bitch and bled for a really long time," but it's more appropriate to the circumstances.
