December 15, 2003It has been decided: I will greet the New Year with my brother. Can you tell that it will be a truly thrilling evening? We will take a nap early in the night before the festivities began. Then, the festivities will begin:1. The parents will leave the home for some mysterious location at which they will dine well on Russian foodstuffs and enjoy some sort of live entertainment (it was my mother's idea to go to a topless show in Vegas last summer -- I think any man other than my father would have been grateful to be in such a position, he didn't really care haha). 2. We will bust out the pizza & other delightful food items. 3. We will watch glorious movies. Now that I have a commenting feature on my blog, it's time to solicit some opinions regarding which movies S&I should watch to celebrate the arrival of the New Year. The 2004. Help me out kids. The S-sensor will filter out: romantic comedies, musicals, all old movies (especially those non-color flicks and especially any Chaplin films), heartfelt/poignant movies that explore the pubertal years and/or crises of personal/sexual/political identity. Movies with action, funny, cool animation, Bond, or Halle Berry are perfect. Also, I have been trying to give my mother & brother a satisfactory response to the following question, "What the hell do you want for your birthday/Xmas??" What I really want are another pair of Nike Air Kukinis!! In fact, I want the very pair I have. Green webbing, no laces, grey mesh... mm. My dear Kukini's have served me for 3 and nearly 1/2 years, and I believe today was truly the last day they will ever grace my feet. A brief history... Senior year @ Pallotti High School meant several things, more than 2, but here are 2: 1. 1st period with Mr.Diggs (and, thus, a window of 45mins in the morning to be late) 2. the freedom to wear sneakers of your choice during the 1st and 4th quarters of the school year. A couple weeks before school started, my mother and I went to the neighborhood mall in search of sneakers. At Nike, I found the green webbed Air Kukini's, tried them on, and fell for them instantly. My mother, sensing my already strong attachment to the sneakers, bought them for me. :D They were the hotness. Also, they were the comfort and the beauty. I felt like I was walking on clouds all day... Why are the new Kukini's NASTY ASS? Also, why is every pair of Kukini's on Ebay TOO FUCKING BIG for my poor small feet. Damn. That is some sadness right there. Luckily S has no trouble with this question: S: Oh my goodness S: I'm spending all my money S: on LotR stuff S: after Christmas S: :-D Excitement :D |
