Customer Served.
February 28, 2005
Several bloggers I know have complained recently about horrible customer service.
As part of my financial aid applications to the law schools, I had to fill out a FAFSA. Unfortunately, they only let you send information to six schools at a time. The FAFSA is then processed, which takes up to 3 days, and then you can change your list to six different schools and have it processed again. I completed the form ~2wks ago and added 6 six schools today. Seeing as the priority deadline for submitting the FAFSA is the first of March, and today is the last of February...
The great little loophole I found: supposedly you can call FAFSA, and someone will enter in all the schools for you without the max 3day wait. I didn't believe it. I called the customer service line, and not only did the poor kid bear with me as I rattled off a list of ~20 schools and their FAFSA codes, but he was quick and friendly about it. At the end of the phone call, he said, "Well, all I have left to do is enter in this data, and I don't want to keep you on the phone for that." Whoever you are, that was awesome. Thank you.
