May 30, 2005I picked up this essay about Pynchon from Walter. It got me thinking about the books I want to read this summer...Catch-22, Heller I swear to GOD if I do not read this book by September I will do something DRASTIC. I've been talking abour reading it for a good two years and it is time, people. Underworld / anything, DeLillo My first DeLillo book was White Noise. I read it last year, mentioned it to one of my writing profs, and it turned out DeLillo was his good friend. I don't know enough about his books to pick one -- suggestions? Gravity's Rainbow, Pynchon AGHHHH. hahaha. anything by Malamud, Bellow, Singer Am I on a Jew trip or what. This list is so ambitious. One thing I actually need to do is find a couple good books about law school. About generally surviving the next three years and a more specific book about reading cases and the academic work. My last semester has been so easy that I am already looking forward to starting school. Of course, it does help to have 3 months of nothing but pure Murriland joy ahead of me. |
