-DMX gets an additional 10 days tacked on to his 60-day jail sentence for claiming he was a federal agent and smashing his SUV into a parking lot gate to apparently avoid paying the $9 parking charge. All that for nine dolla?
-Crips founder Stanley Williams is on death row for murdering four people in '79. But how can we kill a guy who has been nominated five times for a Nobel Peace Prize and four times for the Nobel Prize for literature for his series of children's books and international peace efforts intended to curtail youth gang violence?
-Madam Heidi Fleiss is at it again: she plans to open a stud farm (brothel catering to women) in Nevada, where prostitution is legal. Joe Richards, her parter in "crime," explains that this is really a matter of equal rights for women: "Say a guy gets into an argument with his wife. What does he do? Lot of times, he goes out, gets a drink, goes to a place to be serviced. Now, women can say, 'Hey, if you can do it, I can, too'." Who can argue with that logic?
Here's to our modern-day heroes!
