April 30, 2006...there is a poetry that exists in a cornfield, and once that field has been turned into an impervious surface, that poetry disappears. This is what we do with open space: we enjoy it. It's not just another plot of land to put houses or stores on. It is important as it is.~Kathleen Connally, mcall.com Article If you haven't had a chance, check out Township, Ms. Connally's photo site (my favorite photo site at this point). These days are spent inside, with little time for sun and appreciation of lovely things. Luckily, places like Township exist on the web, so I don't have to look far for inspiration. The perfect summer in [one] [two] [three] easy steps. |
