Why do characters in Spanish movies have the best sex ever?
Lately I find my movie quest (both knowingly and not) following actors&actresses, directors, composers... Last night I watched Lucía y el sexo (Sex and Lucia), a movie I picked up because of Paz Vega, an actress who I saw and loved in Spanglish. IMDB gives me more good news: Vega also appeared in Hable con ella (Talk to Her), a movie I have seen and love, but I can't remember Vega in it. Also, Javier Cámara was in the movie, and he's one of my favorites from Bad Education and Talk to Her.
And, I KNEW there was something incredible about the music in Lucía: Alberto Iglesias composed the music, and he's also responsible for the beautiful music in Talk to Her, All About My Mother, Bad Education, Live Flesh (all four directed by Pedro Almodóvar), and The Dancer Upstairs. So fantastic!
I can never decide if I should write out the names of foreign films in the native language or in English. Ok, who noticed that I'm not even being consistent in this very entry? I'll leave it as is and see which I prefer: Spanish & its English companion, or solely English. Using only the Spanish title could be confusing, only the English title is just plain wrong people, but both the Spanish & English is cumbersome...
Also, I wonder if this is nearly exciting for anyone as it is for me, but even though I wonder, I conclude that it doesn't matter because it's my blog, bitches!
