September 24, 2004So.I spent a fabulous evening at Bukowski's in honor of Riad's visit. He's here for a couple days on behalf of SiLabs, a company in Austin, TX that employs him. Mr. Jack will be heading down south thereabouts in early November (but not TOO early) for what sounds like a rigorous screening process before they decide to hire him (something that they will most certainly do). Some had $1.79 burgers, some had beer, and I think everyone had a truly fantastic time. It is so good to see those who have strayed from their academic nest. I was all over the photo-taking. This should be no surprise to those who know me. Mark my words: when you are old and sad about being old, you will want to relive your life vicariously through my pictures (if you have an unreliable memory like mine). Photos will appear shortly :D Other things... Last week, two of my most favorite people swung by MIT: Mich and V. Look: Aren't they awesome? :D I miss them too much. The awesomeness of DanceTroupe has decreased significantly since their departure in May. Today Mr.Jack and I finally made plans for next weekend. Immediately after the LSATs, we will let a Budget car whisk us away through New Hampshire and onto Maine. It should be an awesome, AWESOME weekend. I hope we will see the American version of this view. I'm off to bed. This is my last weekend before the LSATs, so my last real chance to get a lot of the techniques down, or simply get some more practice sitting in one place for four hours. I have to choreograph my brains out tomorrow morning, and there's much homework to be done. Gotta start off with a good night of rest :D Hope all's good for everyone, and congrats to Callaway for being the winner :D PS. In my previous post I had a link to a FABULOUS PowerPoint presentation that a boy created to break up with his girlfriend. It has been replaced by a hideous photo, so it's gone! Bastards. |
