December 17, 2003I was Googling me this morning :D1. Burchard Scholars list 2. Poetry Prize list 3. a dance review in the Tech 4. Fort Awesome people haha 5. MIT¡¶¼¼ÊõÆÀÂÛ¡·2003Äê¶ÈÇàÄ괴мÒTOP 100 ha. An entry on blogchina.com (all of China -- whoa) about the TR100 that lists me as a Fact Checker :) good times. The next hit is some Jewish organization that mentions one Barbara who lives at 3007 Dakota St in Oakland, CA. Warm weather bastards. Ees ok. I will be a warm weather bastard myself come the week after New Year's: Domincan Republic with my mom :D I have yet to hear what Vanessa thinks about this. The girl loooves the place. Also, Williams links to an interesting interview with one Dr. Alice Flaherty, a Harvard neurologist, who wrote The Midnight Disease: The Drive to Write, Writer's Block and the Creative Brain. Check it out: "It's not uncommon for TAs to get these way overly long papers from people. I have friends who can't stop writing papers. And they're the same people who get blocked. And the same people who write long letters. Like my patient who wrote a 10-page letter to her parents -- while they were in the room." Almost right. Just change the 10 to a 40, parents to close friend, and "in the room" to "5 driving minutes away." Good. I've been wanting to read a book on the creativity-madness connection for a long time now, and one on the music-math connection, too. Winter break :) |
